It’s the most wonderful time of the year…

Thank _______ (*insert your belief, Savior or favorite curse word, here*) 😉

THE KIDS ARE BACK IN SCHOOL!!!

Jesus, keep me near the cross, but it is like feeding termites in a forest. I would have gone completely insane had they been home one day more.  HATS OFF to those of you who teach for a living and or home school your children.  I will continue to support the educational system, return all forms in a timely manner, pay my dues and bake the occasional cake.   The list of ills…:

  1. They do nothing but eat, complain and fight over drum kits; Wii; PS games and movies…

  2. They eat the whole day and night and complain( did I mention this already?)  when the Cruise Director* cannot find anything for them to do that requires something other than inertia.

  3. The Chauffeur* had to take a stand that she would not be driving into the city every other day just so that we could window shop before school.  This was also an excuse to drive by the fast food joints that are missing in our little town.

  4. The Maid* also decreased her laundry output and required the twins (age 16) to begin doing their own laundry.  Machine, powder, softener etc.  will be provided, just missing is the  man mom-power

  5. The Psychiatrist* believes that by encouraging those old enough to begin to take care of themselves, she will in essence be providing some future woman with a relatively complete and or knowledgeable spouse.

6. The Chief Financial Planner and Budget Director*was also in charge of allocating wages earned through employment in the family firm.  Said funds were not allowed to be pissed away but 50% retained for back to school clothing; 25% for personal usage ( The Firm ( me and Dad 🙂 )  no longer provide refills on telephones, movie tickets or “that hat that you just have to have”.

I feel a sense of freedom.  I am certain that this exercise in futility this summer will set us on a course for a smoother school year.
